Positioned in Bayview with a wide northerly frontage and sweeping Pittwater views, Bayview House is a full home transformation / renovation by Oceanside Custom Building in close collaboration with architect Laura Cook. Drawing on a long-standing partnership, Oceanside translated Laura’s design intent into precise, considered craftsmanship.

The extensive renovation project was a complete transformation, inside and out: new kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, decks, outdoor living areas and substantial structural upgrades. The elevated site delivers exceptional light and privacy but brought typical Bayview challenges; steep access and exposed conditions, which Oceanside managed confidently using experienced, practical problem solving throughout the build.

Full-length bi-fold doors now open living spaces onto sunlit entertaining decks, anchored by a contemporary kitchen with a generous island bench. The open plan living and dining areas, with vaulted ceilings, flow seamlessly to the outdoors. Upstairs, the bedrooms were refreshed and the master suite now includes a new ensuite and private balcony.

The lower level was reconfigured as a self contained retreat, with bedroom, living area, kitchenette, bathroom and covered patio, an ideal arrangement for guests or extended family seeking independence. Landscaping with sandstone terraces and levelled lawns integrates the house into its natural, amphitheatre like setting.

With easy access to Bayview’s foreshore and minutes from Mona Vale and the Northern Beaches coastline, the completed home feels both grounded and elevated.
