This was a full transformation. Reimagined in collaboration with architect Laura Cook, the focus was simple: create a home that works beautifully for a growing family while staying true to the laid-back Avalon lifestyle.

A home built around flow
The entire layout was opened up to create seamless indoor outdoor living. Living spaces connect naturally to the backyard, allowing the home to breathe. Kids move freely between inside and out. Doors stay open. Life spills outside.

Light, space, and simplicity
Natural light was a priority from the start. New openings, thoughtful orientation, and clean interior finishes create a home that feels light and calm throughout the day. Hardwood floors ground the space, adding warmth and texture without overcomplicating it.

Designed for real family living
Every part of the home was considered. Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas were all rebuilt to feel cohesive, functional, and easy to use. Nothing is over-designed. Everything has purpose.

Outdoor living that adds to daily life
A backyard studio creates flexibility. A quiet place to work, create, or retreat. It adds another layer to how the home functions without taking away from the openness of the site.
